Meet the Principal

Welcome to Woods Elementary—home of the mighty Wolverines! I am honored to serve as the principal of this incredible school community, where we are all dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our children. We truly believe that, together, we can help every child become a successful learner.

As a proud Clovis native and graduate of Clovis High School, I’m deeply connected to the values and vision that have guided our district since its founding. I’m also a proud wife and the mother of three Buchanan High School graduates—experiencing the district both as an educator and as a parent has strengthened my commitment to providing the very best for our students and families.

At Woods, our team is devoted to building strong partnerships with our families and community members to create the best educational experience possible for all students. Inspired by the beliefs of our founding superintendent, Dr. Floyd B. Buchanan, Woods offers programs that support the development of the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.

We offer a rigorous, standards-based academic program that challenges and supports every student to believe in themselves and reach their fullest potential.
