Recently we learned that our students would not be able to pass out treats or student Valentines to other students due to safety concerns. In lieu of our traditional Valentines celebration, we would like to encourage participation in The Wolverines’ Work of Heart Project
, a VIRTUAL
activity that will hopefully spread care, encouragement and kindness throughout our Woods community.
Parents and teachers can e-mail photos or videos of students sharing words of care, encouragement and kindness through signs or drawings. The quotes or messages should be general and not single out a student or staff member. For example, a student may create a banner with a quote about kindness and pose underneath for a photo. A student may pose for a photo with a drawing or painting that includes a message of encouragement. Something else that is trending right now are videos of people holding a series of signs and dropping a sign every few seconds to reveal a message while inspiring music plays in the background (that might be a good family project). There is no limit on our Wolverines' creativity!
Please e-mail photos/videos of your children displaying their "work of heart" to [email protected]
. We will accept photos/videos now through February 12th
. Please be aware that photos and videos submitted for this project may appear on the Woods Elementary website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
Starting on February 14th we will begin sharing photos/videos with our community on our social media pages. We will spotlight photos/videos through out the final two weeks of February.
On Friday, February 12th, we would like our rooms and zooms to be filled with students and staff wearing the colors RED or PINK... if anyone wears HEARTS... Well, that would be AWESOME! This day will conclude our "Work of Heart Project", but remember, stay tuned to our Woods Elementary website, Facebook and Instagram pages through out the final weeks in February to see all the heartwarming quotes, messages and pieces of Wolverine "heart-work"!
